Pauline F. Mitchell, 89 a resident of Clovis and formerly of House, NM died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Clovis Healthcare and Rehabilitative Center following an illness. She was born November 5, 1917 in House, NM to the home of Essie Drucilla Rogers and Martin Luther Peacock. She was on of four children born to this union. Pauline was reared and attended House schools. She married Hugh Mitchell on January 8, 1934 in Fort Sumner. They made their home at House, NM where they ranched and farmed for many years. Pauline enjoyed quilting and was a member of the House Quilting Club for many years. Pauline made her home in Clovis, NM in 1997 following the death of her husband Hugh. She married Herman Mitchell in 1997 at House, NM. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Clovis and House Methodist Church at House, NM. She was preceded in death by her first husband Hugh Mitchell on May 22, 1997; a son-in-law Al Robinson; her parents and three brothers Reuben, Othel and Orville Peacock. Pauline was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be missed by her husband Herman Mitchell of Clovis; a son John Mitchell and wife Vicki of McAlister, NM; daughter Pearl Robinson of Cookville, TN, six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be Thursday, November 1, 2007 from 1PM to 6PM at the funeral home and on Friday from 9AM to 10AM at the church. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, November 2, 2007 from the Methodist Church in House, NM with Rev. Danny Sanders and Kenneth Whitecotton officiating. Burial will follow at House Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darrell Robinson, Neil Robinson, Gordon Robinson, Dale Moss, Phil Wheeler and Larin Kyle Wheeler.
