Larry Matta, Jr

Larry Matta Jr. age 44, passed away unexpectedly on January 3, 2007 in Tecolotito, NM. Larry was born May 26, 1962 in Lamesa, TX to the home of Larry Matta Sr. and Alicia Vasquez. Larry worked as a farmer for many years and currently was employed with Hamilton Construction Company. He is preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife Christina Villanueva of Santa Rosa his children; Amanda Lopez and husband Joseph, Nycole Matta and husband Josh, Sarah Matta, Samantha Matta and Cheyanne Matta all of Santa Rosa, his mother Maria Urioste of Tecolotito, two grandchildren; Adelina Lopez and Jarrod Lopez of Santa Rosa. Also surviving are his sisters Irene Villanueva and husband Domingo, Ruby Urioste and husband Benny, Laura Villanueva and husband Quirino all of Tecolotito, Sandra Matta of Santa Rosa and Sue Ann Matta of Anton Chico, a brother Raul Matta of Plains, TX, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at 7:00 PM from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anton Chico. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 2:00 PM from St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Gerald Johnson officiating. Pallbearers will be Patrick Villanueva, Josh Romero, Joseph Lopez, Gilbert Guajardo, Ruben Guajardo, Raul Matta. Burial will follow at the Upper Anton Chico Cemetery.
