Joe A. Baca, (J.G., Jiggs, Little Joe), age 55 and a resident of Albuquerque passed away at Paloma Blanca Health and Rehabilitation Center on Friday December 22, 2006. Joe was born on October 27, 1951 in Santa Rosa, NM to the home of Frank and Clorie Baca. He was reared and attended schools in Santa Rosa graduating from Santa Rosa High School in 1970. After Graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving in the 82nd Airborn. He was Honorably discharged on May 1, 1976. Joe is preceded in death by his mother Clorie Baca as well as his grandparents Frank and Leandra Baca and Albert and Isabel Nelson. Survivors include his father; Frank Baca, Jr. of the family home in Santa Rosa, his six brothers; Leo Moya and wife Maria, Jimmy Baca and wife Tina, David Baca, Alex Baca and wife Kathleen, Martin Baca, Leroy Baca and wife Deborah, his four sisters; Kika Baca and Trinidad, Netta Baca, Anna Baca and Carolyn Baca. Also surviving are numerous relatives and friends including his special Aunt Emily Chavez. Rosary services will be recited on Tuesday, December 26, at 7:00 from St. Rose of Lima Church in Santa Rosa. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 27, at 10:00 AM also from St. Rose Church with Father Gino Correa OFM officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Trinidad Navarro, David Chavez, Matthew Chavez, Gilbert Ulibarri, Reyna Griego and Tommy Quintana. In lieu of flowers the family graciously request that memorial contributions be made to Noon Day Ministires, 101 Broadway Blvd NE. Albuquerque, NM 87102.
