Predicanda Montoya

Predicanda Chacon-Montoya, age 93, was born on June 17, 1917 to Gabriel and Olegaria Chacon, died peacefully on October 7, 2010 surrounded by her family. Predicanda was preceded in death by her son; Eugenio Chacon in October of 1999 and Eugenio’s wife Emily in December of 1999 and also a brother; Matias Chacon. She leaves behind her children; Patricia Montoya, Pablo Montoya and companion Mariana Bazan, Frutoso Montoya, Luisa Chappell and husband Jerry, Christina Esquibel and Children, Claudina Garcia and husband Jerome. Her grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Predicanda was above all else a devoted mother and grandmother who touched many lives with her kind heart and love of children. She loved caring for babies; she was a child care provider until the tender age of 91. Danae Esquibel was the youngest and last child she cared for and was her pride and joy. There will be a viewing on Friday, October 8, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Chavez Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary services will be held also on Friday, October 8, at 7:00 PM from St. Rose of Lima Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 9, at 11:00 AM also from St. Rose of Lima Church with Father Joseph Thomas, CMI officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Jerry Chappell, Joe Esquibel, Gabriel Esquibel, Juanita Romero, Marcelino Cordova, Jeffery Encinias and Macky Garcia. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be; Joe Esquibel II, Daniel Esquibel, Ethan Esquibel, Jacob Esquibel, Danae Esquibel, Leah Moncayo, Jose Saiz, Santiago Chavez, Marcus Garcia and Anthony Moncayo.
