Frances Gutierrez

Frances M. Gutierrez, age 87, passed away unexpectedly on December 3, 2010 at her residence in Santa Rosa. Frances was born on February 21, 1923 in Sombrillo, NM to the home of Luciano and Rosana (Chavez) Sena. Frances worked at local restaurant for many years. She enjoyed sewing, visiting, and she loved her grandchildren. She was also a grandma at the Santa Rosa Elementary School for many years and a member of St. Rose of Lima Parish. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband O.E. Gutierrez, son; Ricky Gutierrez, 2 infant sons, sisters; Mary Gomez and Pearl Arnold. Survivors include her children; Viola Harris and husband Jerry of Phoenix, AZ, Andy Gutierrez and wife Patsy Madrid of Clovis, Bobby Gutierrez and wife Liz of Los Lunas, Jerry Gutierrez and wife Sylvia of Albuquerque, Mike Gutierrez of Santa Rosa, Sammy Gutierrez and wife Kathie of Baltimore, MD, Debbie Nicholson and husband Charles of San Antonio, TX, Mary Alice Rhoney of Morganton, NC and Rodney Gutierrez of Santa Rosa. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters; Nestor Sena, Alberto Sena, Adela Gonzales all of Amarillo, TX and Rose Ortega of Albuquerque, as well as 25 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, numerous nieces nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Monday, December 6, at 6:00 PM from St Rose of Lima Church. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 7, at 10:00 AM also from St. Rose Church with Father Joseph Thomas, CMI officiaiting. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Justin Jaramillo, Ricky Gutierrez, Steven Gutierrez, Andrew Gutierrez and Austin McCandless.
