Annie M Campos

Annie M. Campos, age 87, of Santa Rosa passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at her home following an illness and with her family at her bedside. Annie was born July 2, 1920 in Newkirk, NM to the home of Able and Rose Lucero Martinez. She married Pedro Campos on July 12, 1939 in Pastura, NM. Annie was a housewife and a full time mother to her twelve children. She enjoyed embroidering and quilting. Her time and energy went to her family that she loved so dearly. She treasured visits and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Annie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Pedro, an infant daughter Theresa Campos, four sisters; Kella Zamora, Pimenia Anaya, Stella Baca and Isabel Bonney. Survivors include her children; Maria Romero and husband Sam of Las Vegas, NM, Leroy Campos and wife Annie of Santa Rosa, Mayo Campos and wife Virginia of Santa Rosa, Adela Mata of Santa Rosa, Carlos Campos and wife Mary Lou of Albuquerque, Angie Barba and husband Ben of Belen, Heraldo Campos and wife Connie of Santa Rosa, Arnold Campos of Santa Rosa, Emily Foust and husband Leonard of Santa Rosa, Diane Campos of Santa Rosa, Armando Campos and wife Nancy of Santa Rosa, Vivian Lopez and husband John of Santa Rosa, a brother; Joe Martinez of Albuquerque and a sister Erlinda Padilla of Belen. Also surviving are 31 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held Sunday, July 29, at 7:00 from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 30, at 10:00 AM from St. Rose Church with Father Nick Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at St Helen's Cemetery in Pastura. Serving as Pallbearers wil be her grandsons; Lorenzo Mata, Miguel Mata, Celestino Lopez, Timothy Barba, Robert Campos and Santana Campos, Honorary Pallbearers will be Albert Romero, Alonzo Camps, J.R. Campos, Christopher Foust, Ray Campos, Ronnie Romero and Armado Campos, Jr. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa. www.chavezfuneralhome.com
