Trinidad Romero

August 9, 1946 — July 14, 2006

Trinidad Romero, age 59, passed away July 14, 2006 as a result of an automobile accident. Trinidad was born August 9, 1946 in Pastura, NM to the home of Paublin and Cleotilde Armijo Romero. He was reared and attended schools in Pastura and Milagro. Trinidad married Christine Sexton on May 23, 1966 in Santa Rosa. He was a rancher, carpenter and self employed landscaper. Trinidad enjoyed fishing, the rodeo and was a handyman. He was preceded in death by his father, brothers and sisters; Bennie Tapia, Lydia Encinias, Isidro Romero, Paublin Romero, Jr., and Dora Garnand and an infant son Christopher Romero. Survivors include his wife Christine Romero of the family home in Santa Rosa, his sons; Timothy Romero of Albuquerque, Lonnie Romero of Albuquerque and Michael Romero of Santa Rosa, his mother; Cleotilde Romero of Santa Rosa, grandchildren; Timothy Romero,Jr. and Marciana Romero, his brothers and sisters; Rita Muniz and husband Leo of Milagro, Soledad Saiz and husband Henry of Fort Sumner, Joel Johnson and husband Bill of Santa Rosa, Greg Romero of Santa Rosa, Pete Romero of Milagro, Wilfred Romero, and wife Rhonda of Herford, Tx, and Leroy Bonney and wife Darlene of Santa Rosa. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place and a rosary will be recited on Monday, July 17, at 7:00 PM from St. Rose Church. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 18, at 10:00 AM also from St. Rose Church with Father Nick Nichols Officiating. Burial of Cremains will be at 2:30 at the Milagro Cemetery. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Dennis Chavez, Wally Baca, Mario Madrid, Anthony Baca, Berto Chavez, Sr., and Florencio Olguin. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to assist the family in funeral expenses. All donations can be brought to the Chavez Funeral Home. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
