John Willis Nolte

John Willis Nolte, 93 of Montezuma, KS and La Lande, NM died Friday, June 25, 2010 at Bethal Home in Montezuma, KS following an illness. He was born April 20, 1917 in Daizy, ND to the home of Willis Nolte and the former Lydia Harrison. He married Joye Louise Bean on August 28, 1937 in Boise, Idaho. John is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Glen and Ed Nolte and a sister Fern Nolte. Survivors include his wife Joye L. Nolte of Montezuma, KS; two sons Richard Nolte of Fort Sumner and Kenneth Nolte and wife Pat of Port Mansfield, TX along with one brother Paul Nolte and wife Donna of Napa, Idaho; 13 grandchildren and 30+ great-grandchildren. Funeral Services were held Monday, June 28, 2010 from the Fort Sumner Church of Christ with Karl Ensz of the Fort Sumner Menonite Church officiating. Burial followed at Taiban Community Cemetery, Taiban, New Mexico. All arrangements were under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home in Fort Sumner, New Mexico. (575) 355-2311.
