Macedon Romero

Macedon Romero, age 54, passed away suddenly on September 15, 2010 in Santa Rosa. Macedon was born on May 24, 1956 in Tecolotito, NM to the home of Andalecio and Maria Rita Urioste Romero. He was raised in Tecolotito and attended schools in Santa Rosa and San Jon. Macedon was a self employed as a mechanic and also worked for M Ferguson. He enjoyed playing the guitar and doing art work. Macedon is preceded in death by his Father; Andalecio Romero, his brothers; Jose Estevan Romero and Larry Wayne Romero. Survivors include his mother; Maria Rita Romero of Tecolotito, his children; Jennifer Spaulding, Teresa Marquez and husband David, Jana Chavez and husband Adam, and Jason Romero all of Santa Rosa, grandchildren Matthew Hoehne, Kaitlyn Hoehne, Savannah Hoehne, Luis Gallegos, Alonso Gallegos, Malikaih Marquez, Candace Romero, Jason Romero Jr., KristyAnna Chavez. Also surviving is his ex wife; Prescilla Olguin, brothers and sister; Arturo Romero, Felipe Romero, both of Tecolotito, Jose Eufemio Romero and wife Diana of Puerto De Luna, and Maria Romero and husband Humberto Lopez of Clines Corners, along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary service will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2010 from St. Joseph Church in Anton Chico. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 20, at 11:00 AM also from St. Joseph Church with Father Antonio Mondragon officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Tecolotitio. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Matthew Hoehne, Bianco Silva, Joe Romero Jr., Felipe Romero, Jr., Andy Romero and Art Romero Jr. All services for Mr. Romero have been entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
