Larrry R.L. Campos, 62 of Albuquerque died Friday, June 18, 2010 at his home following a sudden illness. Larry was born August 25, 1947 in Puerto De Luna, NM to the home of Guillermo and Filomena Dodge Campos. Larry is a 1965 graduate of Santa Rosa High School, he attended New Mexico Highlands University for two years and served in the U.S. Marines for six years. Larry made his home in Albuquerque in 1972. Larry worked as a Iron Steel Worker in Albuquerque, Tucumcari and Farmington, NM. He worked as a PONCA distributor for 15 years. Recently he worked as an auto mechanic in Albuquerque and also enjoyed selling items at the Albuquerque Flea Market. He enjoyed horse racing and visiting the casinos. He was a member of Nuestra Senora de Refugio Catholic Church in Puerto De Luna and St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa. He is preceded in death by his parents Guillermo “Willie” and Filomena “Mena” Campos and an infant brother Steve Campos. Larry is survived by a son Larry Campos Jr. and wife Sonia of Clovis; two daughters Rebecca Martinez and husband T.J. of Clovis and Michelle Campos of Oklahoma. Two brothers Steve Campos of Santa Rosa and David Campos of Albuquerque along with 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren several nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, June 21, 2010 from the Chavez Funeral Home Chapel in Santa Rosa. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 22, 2010 from Nuestra Senora de Refugio Catholic Church in Puerto De Luna with Rev. Father Joseph Thomas C..M.I. officiating. Burial will follow in Nuestra Senora de Refugio Cemetery in Puerto De Luna. Visitation will be held on Monday beginning at 10AM from the funeral home.
