Frances L. Marquez lived all her life in Milagro, NM. Over the last 3 years she lived in periods of times with her sons and daughters. She passed away on Saturday morning in Milagro at the home of her youngest son Rudy. She was 85 years old. Frances was born April 26, 1921 in Duran, NM to the home of Candido and Carolina Maes Lucero. She married Roberto Marquez in 1940. She and Roberto were longtime Cattle ranchers in the Milagro area. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roberto, brother; Luis Lucero and an infant sister Frances. Survivors include her 3 sons; Bobby Marquez and wife Regina, Gilbert Marquez, Rudy Marquez and wife Doris, her daughter; Nora Romero and husband Jim. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Rozanne Dickinson, Yvonne Ray, Brian Marquez, Julie Marquez, Mario Sepulveda, James Robert Romero and Lauren Romero, great grandchildren; Sheena, Adrianna, Alyssa, Nathaniel, Manny, Ashley and Vicente, 2 brothers; Pat Lucero and wife Todocia, Candido Lucero and wife Candy, 4 sisters; Marianne Sisneros, Dora Sisneros, Otilia Muniz and Alice Armijo and husband Catarino along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Monday, May 8, at 7:00 from St. Rose of Lima Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuseday, May 9, at 10:00 AM also from St. Rose Of Lima with Father Carlos Chavez officiating. Burial will follow after the family meal at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery in Milagro at 1:30 PM. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
