Arsenio Pedro Sanchez, age 80 of Anton Chico, NM, died Friday, April 7, 2006 at the home of his daughter in Santa Rosa. Arsenio was born February 23, 1926 in Las Vegas, NM to the late Antonia and Nicacio Sanchez. He was a lifelong resident of Anton Chico. He attended schools in Las Vegas, NM. Arsenio Served in the United States Army in 1944. He loved to do yard work, being around family and friends and he loved to clown around. He is preceded in death by his two step-sons; Santana Baca in January of 2006, Esequiel Baca on October of 2004, his son; Santiago Sanchez in 1998, parents; Antonia Sanchez in 1975 and Nicacio Sanchez in 1970. Survivors include his beloved daughters; Antonia Madrid and husband Donaciano, Ernestine Aranda and significant other Adam Anaya, Rita Sanchez, Dorothy Rascon and husband Jesus, Viola and significant other Joe, Melba and significant other Frank, sons; Arsenio Sanchez, Jr. and wife Sue, Raymond Sanchez, Eddie Baca and Shirleyand Uvaldo Baca. Also surviving is his brother; James Sanchez, his sister; Erlinda Martinez, seven grandchildren; Adam, Patrick, Ryan, Jeremy, Roman, Matthew and Vito and one granddaughter Mia Sanchez as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friend. Rosary services will be conducted on Monday, April 10, at 7:00 from St.Joseph Church in Anton Chico. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 11, at 11:00 AM also from St. Joseph Church with Father Jerry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at the Upper Anton Chico Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Adam Sanchez, Patrick Aranda, Roman Montoya, Matthew Montoya, Alijo Reyes and James Madrid. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Donciano Madrid, Vito Montoya, Mike Aranda, Joe Montoya, Abelino Hern, Ben Roy Hern, Ernest Lingnau, Don Ramon Lucero and Dan Gomez.
