Antonia O. De Santiago, age 89, passed away on April 1, 2010 in Albuquerque following an illness. Antonia was born on March 22, 1921 in Mosquero, NM to the home of Jose Inez and Ageda (Perea) Vigil. She was reared and attended schools in Mosquero. Antonia married Benito De Santiago on February 16, 1938 in Mosquero. Antonia and her family made their home in Santa Rosa in 1960. She was a faithful parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Church, a member of the Altar Society, Las Hijas de Maria and she and her husband served as Mayodromos. She was also a member of the Campos Senior Center, she loved to travel and experience different things, she loved to play bingo but most of all she loved going to church. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Benito, children; Beatrice and Luis, sisters; Clorinda Jiminez, Vicentita Mata, Timotea Iturate, brothers; Daniel Vigil, Enriquez Vigil, Ignacio Vigil and Dan Vigil. Survivors include her three daughters; Mary Quesada of Bernalillo, Veronica Carrasco and husband Jesus of Ontario, CA and Lou De Santiago of El Paso TX. Her grandchildren; Michael Quesada, Arturo Quesada, Dominic Carrasco Jesus Flores, Monique Taraddei, Melissa Quesada, Yvette Carrasco, great grandchildren; Michelle Quesada, Merissa Quesada, Chris Pacheco, James Quesada, Ryan Quintana, Phoenix Carrasco, Danielle Carrasco, Dominique Quesada, Angelo Taraddei, Desirae Quesada, Samantha Flores, Robert and Victoria, great great grandchildren; Dominica Chavez, Kirsten Chavez, Matthew Pacheco, Santiago Pacheco, Olivia Flores and Emilio Flores. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be conducted on Monday, April, 5, at 7:00 from St. Rose of Lima Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 6, at 10:00 AM also from St. Rose of Lima Church with Father Joseph Thomas, CMI officiating. Burial will follow at the Mosquero Cemetery in Mosquero. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Celedonio Vigil, Jesus Carrasco, Johnny Jimenez, Michael Quesada, Arturo Quesada and Dominic Carrasco. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be; Jesus Flores, Angelo Taraddei, Ryan Quintana and Frank Jimenez.
