Maria Saiz Gallegos

Maria Estella (Joann) Gallegos, 50 of Albuquerque, NM died Thursday, March 11, 2010 at her home. She was born January 18, 1960 in Santa Rosa, NM to the home of Adelaido and Dolores (Barela) Saiz. She attended school at Santa Rosa. She was a homemaker. Maria enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother Raymond Saiz and a sister Mary Ann Torres. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Survivors include two sons Robert M. Martinez and Tivo M. Gallegos a daughter Paula Monique Moya all of Albuquerque. Also surviving are four grandchildren Reyes Marie Gallegos, Christian, Caleb and Cameron Gibson along with four brothers Gilbert Saiz, Joe Saiz, Robert Saiz and Lorenzo Saiz; six sisters Jane Saiz, Mary Saiz, Frances Ulibarri, Dolores Coronado, Tina Lopez and Anabelle Saiz. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Rosary services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 AM from the church with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S. Third Street; Santa Rosa, New Mexico.
