Priscilla Sanchez, 50 of Tome, NM died Sunday, July 28, 2002 at Lovelace Hospital in Albuquerque following a short illness. She was born July 1, 1952, the fourth of six children born to the home of Adolph and Fidelena Garcia Sanchez. Priscilla attended Fort Sumner schools, graduating with the class of 1973. Priscilla made her home at Tome, NM for the past 24 years. She was employed for the past 23 years at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque as a bus driver and with food services. Priscilla was a loving daughter, mother, sister and friend. She enjoyed camping and fishing. She was preceded in death by her father Adolpho Sanchez, her paternal grandparents Miguel and Victoriana Sanchez, and her maternal grandparents Juan Pablo and Antonia Garcia. Survivors include two daughters, Melissa Griego, and Maria Montoya and husband Jovan, one son Anthony Griego and wife Danielle all of Belen, NM; her mother Lena Sanchez of Fort Sumner; three grandchildren Nathan Griego, Crystal Griego, and Helena Montoya; her longtime companion Floyd Aragon of Tome; three sisters Toni Segura, Vivian Peelle of Clovis and Bernice Sanchez of Fort Sumner; two brothers Adolpho Sanchez Jr. of Fort Sumner and Edward Sanchez of Clovis. Rosary services were held Wednesday, July 31, 2002 fro Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church in Belen, NM; a memorial Mass was celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 1, 2002 from St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner with Father Sotero A. Sena officiating. Burial of cremains followed at Fort Sumner Cemetery.
