Tony Sena

Tony J. Sena, age 74, passed away peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on March 5, 2010. Tony was born on November 13, 1935 in Fort Sumner, NM to the home of Luis and Camila (Flores) Sena. He married Nancy Griego on March 17, 1956 in Santa Rosa. Tony worked as a cook for many years in Fort Sumner and Vaughn. He also worked as a mechanic for A.W. Smith, John Scott and for his brother in law Jim Griego at the Grandview Texaco. He loved playing the guitar and rebuilding Volkswagens and Dune Buggies. Tony loved going and spending time at his ranch in Borica. He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Kevin Charles Tapia, sister; Vera Sena, brother; Lucas Sena. Survivors include his wife Nancy of the family home is Santa Rosa. His daughters; Diana Archuleta and husband Tomas of Santa Rosa, Mary Ann Bustamante and Victor of Las Vegas, NM, Liz Tapia and husband Charles of Santa Rosa and Carolyn Ortega and husband Gilbert of Las Vegas, NM. Also surviving are his sisters; Evelyn Chavez and husband Pablo of Fort Sumner, Ramona Padilla of Albuquerque and a special cousin; Desi Garcia of Albuquerque, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren as well as numerous in laws, nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 7:00 from St. Rose of Lima Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 9, at 11:00 AM also from St. Rose of Lima Church with Father Joseph Thomas, CMI officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Frankie Tenorio, Jonathan Tenorio, Jared Tapia, Ronald Sena, Bobby Sena and Toby Johnny Pino. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be all of his grandchildren. All services for Mr. Sena have been entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
