Rosela Martinez

Rosela Gloria Martinez, 51 of Clovis, NM died Monday, February 01, 2010 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX following an illness. She was born April 30, 1958 in Tucumcari, NM the daughter of Joe and Josephine (Sandoval) Martinez. She was raised and attended Tucumcari Public Schools. Rosela worked for several years as a Motel Maid in Clovis, NM. She enjoyed dancing, shopping and watching her favorite TV programs. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She made her home in Tucumcari for many years before moving to Clovis where she has resided for the past ten years. She attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis and St. Anne’s Parish in Tucumcari. Rosela is preceded in death by her father Joe Martinez in 1970; a son Daniel Jose Martinez in 1978; a sister Vicky Martinez and brother Frankie Lee Martinez. She was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be dearly missed by her family. Survivors include a daughter Kristy Martinez of Clovis, NM; her mother Josie Martinez of Tucumcari, NM; three granddaughters Victoria Martinez, Lillia Godinez and Stephanie Godinez all of Clovis; two brothers Jimmy Martinez and Freddy Martinez; four sisters Lillian Mendez, Dorothy Martinez, Stella Maes and Annie Martinez all of Tucumcari. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, February 4, 2010 from St. Anne Parish in Tucumcari with Funeral Mass following at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Joey Martinez, Junior Martinez, Jesus Mendez, J.J. Chavez, Devin Martinez and Dennis Chacon. Arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S.
