Ambrosia Sisneros

Ambrosia Lopez Sisneros, age 77, passed away on April 8, 2009 at the St. Anthony Healthcare Center in Clovis, NM. Ambrosia was born May 16, 1931 in Leyba, NM to the home of Leyes and Adella (Lucero) Lopez. She married Jose Sisneros in 1959 in Villanueva, NM. Ambrosia worked as a cook for various restaurants for many years. She enjoyed sewing and cooking. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jose, an infant brother and infant sister, brothers and sisters; Rosanna Williams, Lucinda Escalante, Mary Lewis, Don Lopez, Flora Salazar and, Linda Lopez, Raymundo Lopez. Survivors include a daughter; Erlinda Sisneros of Santa Rosa, a son; Arturo Sisneros of Big Springs, TX, sisters; Benie Baca and husband Benito of Anton Chico, Virginia Garcia and husband Isaac of California, brother; Geraldo Lopez and wife Eva also of California, along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Monday, April 13, at 10:00 am from San Jose Catholic Church in Anton Chico, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM also from San Jose Church with Father Antonio Mondragon officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Anton Chico.
