Floyd Presley Rasco, age 81, met his Lord in Heaven on January 2, 2010, in his residence in Puerto De Luna, NM. Floyd was born on September 16, 1928 in Dickens, TX to the home of George A and Millicent Rasco. He married Mavis Smith on March 13, 1954 in Deming, NM. Floyd worked for Southern Pacific Railroad as a Signal Maintainer and retired after 43 years of service. Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mavis, of their family home in Puerto De Luna. He is also survived by his oldest daughter Rena Bond and her husband David, of Edgewood, NM and their two sons; Kay Miller and her husband Gary of Hobbs, NM and their son; Tambra Mikel and her husband Patrick of Dallas, TX and their two children; Sherrie Early and her husband Kenneth of New Braunfels, TX and their daughter; George Rasco and his wife Jim Ann of Amarillo and their children. He is also survived in death by his eight grandchildren and his three great grandchildren, with whom he shared a special love. Floyd will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A public masonic graveside service was held on Tues, Jan 5, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Evergreen Cemetery with his Masonic brothers serving as pallbearers. Memorial services followed at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church with Mr. Ernest Copeland and Mr. Leon Bruce officiating.
