Services: 10:00 am Monday, April 27, 2009 at First Baptist Church Fort Sumner, NM Delores Anne Noe, 71 of Fort Sumner, NM died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at her home following a sudden illness. She was born June 18, 1937 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma to the home of Aubrey and Annie (Tims) Lewis. Delores moved with her family to Rencona Mesa in Western San Miguel County in 1939. She attended schools at Mountainair and Estancia, NM. Delores married Dalton Noe on March 15, 1958 at Roswell, NM. She drove a school bus while living in Las Cruces, NM. Dalton and Delores made their home in Fort Sumner in 1977. Delores worked for 17 years as a Clerk for the Natural Resources Conservation Service. She also worked as a substitute school bus driver for Fort Sumner Public Schools. For many years Delores cared for, loved and baby sat many children in Fort Sumner. She became affectionately known by the children and their families as “Darlin”. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fort Sumner. Delores loved kids, babysitting, her church and cooking. Delores was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Maxine Ingle. Delores was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband Dalton Noe of the family home in Fort Sumner; two daughters Rexanne Proctor and Keith Wells of Oklahoma, City, OK; Tonikae Noe of Clovis, NM; two sons Brandal Noe of Royse City, TX and Tyesonn Noe of Portales, NM; five grandchildren Risha Schwartz and husband Todd of Oklahoma City, OK; Regan Livingston of Lawton, OK, Jordan Noe of Magdalena, NM, Brooke Hammond and Dylan Hammond.; two great grandchildren Tayler And Kaelee Livingston of Lawton, OK; and a sister Donna Durham of Clovis, NM. Visitation hours will be Sunday from 1pm to 6pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, April 27, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Fort Sumner with Rev. Coy Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Sumner Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Mike West, Les Armstrong, Clifford Kenyon, Bob Addison, Bill West and Jerry Sparks. Honorary bearers will be all her friends and the many parents who entrusted their children to her care. Arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 804 N.
