Bertha Romero Lucero

Bertha Romero Lucero, age 45, passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2009 in Tucumcari. Bertha was born October 18, 1963 in Clovis, NM to the home of Juan and Clorinda (Rivera) Romero. She enjoyed dancing, singing, talking on the phone with her daughters and was an all around happy person. Bertha is preceded in death by and infant son, Baby Leon Lucero, her maternal grandparents; Carlos and Matilde Henderson Rivera, paternal grandparents; Narciso and Rufina Arias Romero. Survivors include her parents; Juan and Clorinda Romero of Clovis, her children; Arthur Lucero Jr., Dominique Lucero, Samantha Lucero, Brittney Lucero and Sophia Lucero all of Santa Rosa, grandchildren; Kirstin Alee Madrid, Jacob Timothy Cordova, Arthur Lucero III and Dominique Mark Lucero who is on the way, brothers and sisters; Margarita Garcia and husband Mel of Clovis, Diane Chavez and husband Pat of Clovis, Christine Mundell and husband Gary of Dalhart, TX, Bernice Salazar and husband Kent of Rio Rancho, Eloise Romero of Clovis, Alfred Romero and wife Irene, Edward Romero and wife Lillie all of Clovis, Juan Romero Jr., of Farmington, NM and Joe Romero of Santa Rosa. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Thursday, May 7, at 7:00 PM from St. Rose of Lima Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 8, at 10:00 AM also from St. Rose Church with Father Joseph Thomas, CMI officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Philix Romero, Ronnie Romero, Edward Romero Jr., Chris Romero, Alfred Romero Jr., Michael Romero, Juan Romero III and Daniel Romero. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Romero, Gary Mundell, Carlos Romero and Joe Romero, Jr. All services are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa. www.chavezfuneralhome.com
