Iris Mae Morgan, 93 of Clovis, NM died Friday, March 13, 2009 at St. Anthony Healthcare in Clovis. She was born September 27, 1915 in Hedley, Texas to the home of James and Mary Wilson. Iris married Howard Thomas Morgan on November 4, 1933 in Fort Sumner. They farmed and ranched at Ima, NM for many years. Tom and Iris made their home at Clovis in 1996. Iris was a longtime member of the Ima Community Church and the Ima Quilting Club. She loved to cook and quilt. Iris was preceded in death by her husband H.T. Morgan on January 28, 2000; her parents; a brother Tom Wilson and three sisters Jane Ferguson, Jane Owens and Georgie Spencer. Survivors include a daughter Judy Campbell and husband Tommy of San Antonio, TX; a son Calvin Morgan and wife Beverly of Clovis; six grandchildren Guy Morgan and wife Carla of Abilene, TX; Chris Brown and wife Lisa of Dallas, TX; Gregg Brown and wife Lisa of Denver, CO; Mike Brown and wife Sara of Odessa, TX; Tami Klinksiek and husband Sean of San Antonio, TX; Jodie Downey of Comfort, TX; 16 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, March 16, 2009 from the Chavez Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Sumner with Rev. Sherman Martin officiating. The family prefers memorial contributions to the Fort Sumner Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 180, Fort Sumner, NM 88119. Arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 830 N.
