Helen Saiz

Helen Saiz, age 62, passed away on October 23, 2009 at her son’s residence in Albuquerque following an illness. Helen was born May 14, 1947 in Santa Rosa, NM to the home of Carlos and Maggie Aragon Gutierrez. She was reared and attended schools in Santa Rosa. Helen loved to dance, cook, visiting with her family and especially her grandkids. She is preceded in death by her mother, sister; Connie Saiz and her Uncle, Louie Pacheco. Survivors include her children; Alfred Saiz and partner Armando Deaguero, Sharon Saiz and Wilfred Saiz all of Albuquerque. Her grandchildren; Marena Tarin, Sheila Saiz and Mark Saiz, ex-husband and father of her children, Fred Saiz of Santa Rosa, her boyfriend, Rudy Chavez of Santa Rosa, sister, Betty Jean Garcia and husband Estevan of Albuquerque,numerous nieces and nephews, best friends, Jeanette Howe and Gloria Pacheco both of Santa Rosa. Rosary services will be conducted on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 PM from the Chavez Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 26, at 9:00 AM from Nuestra Senora de Refugio Church in Puerto De Luna with Father Joseph Thomas, CMI officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Anthony Saiz, David Tapia, Andrea Saiz, Mario Garcia, Daniel Howe, Jason Pacheco and Dominic Howe. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
