Chester Dale Morris

Chester Dale Morris, 59 died Monday, November 17, 2008 at Clovis Healthcare following an illness. Chester was born July 15, 1949 in Fort Sumner to the home of Ira Lee Morris and the former Wana Alice Bradshaw. Chester, born with Down syndrome lived life to the fullest. He was fun loving, enjoyed meeting people and made many friends. At the age of five he entered the Los Lunas Hospital and Training School. In 1980 he moved to a group home at Hobbs, NM where he resided before moving to Clovis Healthcare in June 2007. Chester was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Harvey Wayne Morris. Survivors include two brothers Donald Morris of Fort Sumner; Lloyd Morris of Clovis; a sister in law Meredith Morris, a niece Michelle Morris and a nephew Michael Morris all of Albuquerque. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, November 20, 2008 from the Fort Sumner Cemetery with Anna Teeter officiating.
