Amelia Dulecina Madril, 56, a resident of Duran, NM passed away November 22, 2008 at her home. She was born on November 24, 1951 in Vaughn, NM to the late Valentin and Teresita Lopez. She was reared and attended schools in Vaughn up until her marriage to Joe Madril on September 19, 1970 in Duran. Amelia worked for the Clovis Public Schools as a cook and for La Casita Elementary for twelve years before moving to Duran in 1996. Her hobbies were baking and making rosaries for her loved ones and friends. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Amelia was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Vaughn and a member of the Sacred Heart Society at St. John the Baptist Mission in Duran, NM. She is preceded in death by her son Joseph Madril on March 3, 2008, her parents; and her brothers; Apolonio Lopez and Emilio Lopez. Survivors include her husband of 38 years Joe, her son; Andrew and wife Bernadette of Denver, CO, Daughter; Teresa Madril and Reidy Ingram of Las Cruces, NM, grandchildren; Angelina Madril of Denver, CO, Larissa Madril, Raven and Omarion Ingram of Las Cruces. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters; Rumaldo Lopez and wife Inez of Vaughn, Rita Madril of Santa Fe, Valentin Lopez, Jr. and Helen of Vaughn, Martha Archibeque and husband George of Clovis, Guadalupe Lopez and wife Linda of Clovis, Daniel Lopez and wife Jeanette of Vaughn, Mary Archibeque of Espanola, Horacio Lopez and wife Patsy of Santa Rosa and Joann Chavez and husband Gilbert of Vaughn. Rosary services will be held on Monday, November 24, at 7:00 PM from St. John the Baptist Church in Duran. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 25, at 11:30 AM also from St. John the Baptist Church with Father Steve Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Duran. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Chris Lopez, Elmer Daniel Martinez, Jude Madril, Felipe Lopez, Adam Chavez, Anthony Gonzales, Chris Madril, and Clario Marez. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be all her nieces and nephews. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
