Josephine G. Espinoza went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, September 24, 2008. She was born and raised in Dripping Springs, New Mexico. Josephine made her home in Santa Fe New Mexico from the early 1940’s until 1994 when she moved to Tucumcari. She was a faithful member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and Rosary Society. She was preceded in death by her husband Republican Senator Reginaldo Espinoza. Long after her late husband passed, Josephine continued as an active and loyal member of the Republican Party. She was also preceded in death by her parents Maximo and Antonia Garcia, five brothers Juan Pablo, Doroteo, Herbert, Maximo, and Gracen Garcia, sisters Gertrude Folks, Mary Badillo and an infant sister Aurora. She worked and retired in Santa Fe from the State of New Mexico Human Resource Department. Josephine is survived by her brother Mr. Bennie Garcia of Gallegos, NM a sister-in-law Elenor Garcia of Tucumcari, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, along with many extended family members who loved her dearly. A rosary will be held Friday, Sept. 26th at 6:00 pm at Dunn’s Funeral Home Chapel in Tucumcari, NM. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008 from St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Tucumcari. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, September 29th at Rosario Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. Pallbearers will include Richard Badillo, Ernest W. Badillo, Joseph W. Otero, Billy Otero Jr., Danny Gutierrez, and Jerry Rykiel. Honorary bearers will be Bobby Gutierrez, Mark Herrera, Jimmy Folks, Donald Espinoza, Bennie and Marguerite Garcia, Tim Thomas, Billy Otero Sr., and the members of the Saint Anne's Rosary Society.
