Santana Leroy Baca, age 46, of Anton Chico, NM died Monday, January 2, 2006 in Las Vegas, NV. Santana was born June 14, 1959 in Anton Chico, NM to the home of Cleodio Rael and Erlinda Baca. He was a life long resident of Anton Chico. He attended schools at Anton Chico and Santa Rosa. Santana Continued his education and graduated from Northern New Mexico Community College in El Rito as a Barber. He enjoyed being around friends and was always willing to help people and loved making people laugh. He is preceded in death by his parents; his mother Erlinda Baca in 1973, father Cleodio Rael in 1983, great grandfather; Cecelio Olguin in 1973, grandmother; Serjia Baca in 1976, great niece; Gabriella Baca in 2001, and his brother Esequiel Baca in 2004. Survivors include in son; Santana Baca, Jr., two daughters; Daisy Baca and Charlene Chavez, three grandchildren; Ricky Chavez, Felicity Chavez and Ai'Jsha Chavez, brothers and sisters; Eddie Baca and Shirley, Uvaldo Baca, Melba Baca, Viola Baca and Joe Montoya; Antonia Madrid and husband Donaciano, Ernestine Aranda and Adam Anaya, Dora Padilla, Annie Encinias, Nina Crist, Clara Robinson, Terry Velasquez, Bernice Tanuz, Chris Rael, Joe Rael, Jr., and Freddy Rael. Also surviving are 13 nephews, 3 nieces, grandnieces and grandnephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2006 from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anton Chico; Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monay, January 9, 2006 from the church with Father Patrick Duffy officiating. Burial will follow in Upper Anton Chico Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Erlinda Baca, Annabelle Silva, Stephanie Jaramillo, Karmen Velasquez, Randy Lucero, Mike Aranda, Leroy Gallegos and Roman Montoya. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Breanna Baca, Felicia Baca, Adam Sanchez, Pat Aranda, Matthew Montoya, Vito Montoya, Joseph Baca, Alex Baca, Miguel Encinias, Patrick Villanueva, Jonathan Encinias, Christopher Baca, Christine Lujan, Ernestine Velasquez and Mario Baca.
