Walter Tedro Bonner

Graveside memorial services with military honors for Walter Tedro Bonner, 78 of Irving, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2008 from the Bonner Family Plot, Fort Sumner Cemetery. Mr. Bonner died Friday, November 21, 2008 at his home following a sudden illness. He was born September 8, 1930 in Fort Sumner to the home of Thomas and Almarine (Atkinson) Bonner. He married Beate Bath on January 31, 1957 in Fort Sumner. Mr. Bonner was a retired Lieutenant Colonel with the U.S. Marine Corp serving as a pilot. After retiring from the Armed Services he worked for Associated Aviation, retiring as senior underwriter. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge where he served as a 32nd degree Mason. Survivors include his wife Beate Bonner of Irving, TX; one daughter, Christine Conway of Dallas, TX; 2 sons , Gordon Ray Bonner of Irving, TX, and Thomas F. Bonner of Beaumont, TX; 2 grandchildren , Cyndi and Justin. Local arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home in Fort Sumner. (575) 355-2311.
