Mary Aragon, age 84, passed away December 10, 2005 in Albuquerque following an illness. Mary was born July 11, 1921 in Silver City, NM to the home of Jesus and Cleofitas Casaus. She married Juan Aragon on November 11, 1950 in Santa Rosa. Mary worked for many years at the Guadalupe County Hospital as a housekeeper. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Parish. She was an active member of Las Hijas de Maria and she and her husband Juan were members of Sociadad de Nuestro Padre Jesus De Nazareno in Puerto De Luna. Mary was also a member of the Campos Senior Citizens where she loved to play pool and attend dances. Mary was always the life of the party no matter if she was dancing at the Senior Citizens Center or at the Parish Fiestas or dressing up for Halloween. Mary was full of life and love to clown around. She loved her grandchildren and always had a special place in her heart for them. Just recently you could see that special little gleam in her eyes when she would brag on how proud she was of her grandson Carlos who recently became a Veterinarian. Mary was a special lady and will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Juan Aragon, sisters; Luciana and Anita, brother Eleno Altamirano and her in laws Fernando and Carolina Aragon. Survivors include her son Johnny Ray Aragon of Santa Rosa, her grandchildren Carlos Aragon of Columbus, Ohio, Brooklyn Aragon of Santa Rosa and Jennifer Rolly, niece; Vicky Lilly of Tucson, AZ, brother in law; Celso Aragon, sister in Law Celina Aragon and her special neighbors George and Kathy Dodge and family as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be conducted on Monday, December 12, at 7:30 PM from St. Rose Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 13, at 10:00 AM also from St. Rose Church with Father Nick Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Plot at El Calvario Cemetery in Puerto De Luna. Serving as Pallbearers will be George Dodge, Jr., Adam Dodge, Richard Aragon, Steve Chavez, Dennis Quintana, Jr., Leroy Quintana, Phillip Aragon and Eric Aragon, Jr. In Leiu of flowers a fund has been set up at any Wells Fargo Bank to assist with funeral expense, you mail your checks to Wells Fargo Bank, P.O.
