Tomas J Lucero

Tomas J. Lucero, age 53, passed away January 2, 2009 at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque following an illness. Tomas was born April 19, 1955 in Santa Rosa, NM to the home of Juan F. and Estefanita Gutierrez Lucero. He was reared and attended schools in Santa Rosa. Tomas enjoyed riding his bike, playing basketball, fishing and was a jack of all trades and was always seen fixing things at his home. He is preceded in death by his father Juan, his mother Estefanita who passed away December 20, 2008, his sister; Antonia, Brother; Abel and sister in law; Consuelo Lucero. Survivors include his sister; Irene Anderson and husband Monty of Rio Rancho, NM, his brothers; Fritz Lucero and wife Lucille of Albuquerque, Christian Lucero, Ernest Lucero and Arthur Lucero all of Santa Rosa as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. A prayer service for Tomas will be held on Thursday, February 5, at 7:00 PM from the Chavez Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 6, at 11:00 AM from the Church of Christ. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery.
