Geneva Garcia

Geneva S. Garcia, 81 a longtime Willard, NM resident died Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at University of NM Hospital in Albuquerque following an illness. She was born April 17, 1927 in Borica, NM to the home of Abenicio and Juana (Sena) Lucero. She married Luis A. Garcia on June 28, 1945 in Santa Rosa. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Luis Garcia; a son Luis Garcia Jr., and a daughter Lydia Flores. Survivors include a son Joe Garcia and wife Theresa of Ontario, CA; grandchildren Cynthia Ortiz, Geneva Valdez, Rosalyn Garcia, Joe A. Garcia, Julian L. Garcia, Ruben M. Garcia, Geneva Tenorio, Tina Apodaca and husband Chris; Great-grandchildren T'cara Garcia, Tiana Garcia, Tamia Garcia, Luis Lujan, Krystal Alequin, Robert Alequin, Alex Cassandra and Israel and two great-great-grandchildren, Lydia and Adrian. A Communion service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2009 from Nuestra Senora De Refugio Catholic Church in Puerto De Luna, NM with Deacon Arsenio Sanchez officiating.
