Estefanita Lucero

Estefanita M Lucero, 79 of Santa Rosa, NM passed away Saturday December 20, 2008 at the Guadalupe County Hospital following an illness. Estefanita was born April 3, 1929 in Juan De Dios, NM to the home of Vidal and Bernardita (Baca) Gutierrez. Estefanita was a parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Church and a member of Las Hijas de Maria. She enjoyed sewing and her dog “Girl”. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Juan Lucero; a son Abel Lucero; a daughter, Antonia Lucero and daughter-in-law Consuelo Lucero. Survivors include her children; Fritz Lucero and wife Lucille of Albuquerque, Christian Lucero of Santa Rosa, Thomas Lucero of Albuqueruqe, Ernest Lucero of Santa Rosa, Irene Anderson and husband Monty of Rio Rancho and Arthur Lucero of Santa Rosa. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held Monday, December 22, at 7:00 PM from St. Rose Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 23, at 10:00 AM also from St. Rose Church with Father Nick Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Michael Garcia, Arthur Lucero, James Anderson, Tony Salazar, Carlos Archuleta and Dominic Lucero.
