Tina Kay (Stinnett) Finney, 33 of Fort Sumner, NM died Monday, September 5, 2005 at her home following an extended illness. Tina was born October 3, 1971 in Portales where she was raised and attended school. She moved with her family to Lake Sumner, attended and graduated from Fort Sumner High School. She was a huge NASCAR fan and collected NASCAR memorabilia. She also enjoyed crocheting. Survivors include two daughters Ashley Nicole Stinnett and Shawna Michelle Stinnett of the home in Fort Sumner; her parents James (Tommy) Sr. and Beverly (Rogers) Stinnett of Portales, NM; three sisters Sarah Knight of Great Falls, Montana; Juanell Parks and husband Kevin, Belinda Machen and husband Timmy; one brother James Stinnett Jr. and wife Jade all of Portales, NM; four nieces Jessi, Brandie, Derricka, RandyDawn; six nephews Matthew, Daniel, Nathan, Bradley, Brian, and Christopher and her step kids, Annie, Jerod, and Leighton Finney. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2005 from the First United Methodist Church in Fort Sumner with Reverend Wesley Holland officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Sumner Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Stinnett, Kevin Parks, Leonard Hobbs, Bradley Parks, Timothy Machen, and Kyle Cain. Honorary Bearers will be Dr. Richards and Dr. Newman of Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX. Visitation hours will be Tuesday from 2pm to 6pm at the funeral home.
