Alice G Luna

Alice G. Luna, age 70, passed away November 14, 2005 at her residence in Vaughn following an illness. Alice was born October 29, 1935 in Vaughn, NM to the home of Abran and Beatrice Ruiz Gallegos. She was reared and attended schools in Vaughn. Alice worked as a waitress and also served as City Clerk for the town of Vaughn for many years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Alice is preceded in death by her parents, her husband George Luna, brothers; Antonio Gallegos, Celso Gallegos and Abran Gallegos, sister; Isabel Gallegos. Survivors include her son; Marty O'Shea of Roswell, daughter; Martha O'Shea of New Jersey, four sisters; Dina McDaniel, Luz Arguello and husband Marcos; and Jane Anaya all of Vaughn, Stella Romero of Pastura; one brother Maguin Gallegos of Tuscon, AZ. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place, a rosary will be recited on Wednesday, November 16, at 7:00 PM from St. Mary's Church in Vaughn. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 17, at 9:00 AM also from St. Mary's Church with Father Gerald Johnson Officiating. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
