Raymond Salas

Ricardo Raymond Salas, age 49, passed away February 26, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital in Phoenix, AZ following a sudden illness. Raymond was born December 15, 1955 in Santa Rosa to the home of Miguel and Juanita Duran Salas. He was reared and attended schools in Santa Rosa. Raymond worked at Denny's, Motel 6 and was currently working at the Cinnamon Ridge Apartments as a maintenance Man. He enjoyed staying home and taking care of his family. Raymond is preceded in death by his father, brothers; Tony Salas, Freddy Salas, Martin Salas, sisters; Esther Griego, Christine Garcia and his niece Marla Bailey. Survivors include his wife Dorothy Villanueva of the family home in Santa Rosa, his children; Ricardo Hernandez of Denver, CO, Rhianna Ray Salas and Martin Ray Salas of Santa Rosa, his mother; Juanita Chavez of Santa Rosa, brothers and sisters; Gloria Salas, Perla Bailey, Lucille Salas and Martha Salas all of Santa Rosa, Priscilla Aragon and husband Nick of Los Lunas, Barbara Duke and husband John of Fort Sumner, Samantha Mullins of Los Lunas, Delbert Salas of Santa Rosa and Anthony Salas of Las Vegas, NM as well as numerous nieces, nephews, Godchildren and a host of relatives and friends.Rosary services will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 from Chavez Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 4, at 10:00 AM from St. Rose of Lima Church with Father Nick Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Anthony Salas, Phillip Campos, Domingo Villanueva, Santiago Romero, Ventura Lopez, Miguel Campos and Sam Griego. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
