Juan Nieto

Juan Nieto, 82 a longtime Santa Rosa, NM resident died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, NM following an illness. Juan was born May 18, 1925 in Puerto De Luna. He worked most of his life as a ranch hand and as a youth he was a racehorse jockey. Juan was a lifelong Catholic and a member of St. Rose of Lima Parish in Santa Rosa. He is survived by one sister Sofia Nieto of Denver, Colorado and his caregiver Connie Campos of Santa Rosa. Rosary services will be held at 11:30 AM Friday, February 8, 2008 from St. Rose of Lima Parish. Mass will follow at 12:00 Noon from the church with Father Nick Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Puerto De Luna. Pallbearers will include Jerry Campos, Fred Saiz, Tony Saiz, Alfredo Romero, and Remegio Baca. All arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home in Santa Rosa, NM.
