Mark Gomez

Ernest Mark Gomez, age 45, passed away February 5, 2008 at the Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque following an illness. Mark as he was affectionately known was born on July 2, 1962 in Santa Rosa, NM to the home of Alfonso and Betty Cordova Gomez. He was reared and attended schools in Santa Rosa. Mark enjoyed working on his truck and going fishing and was very artistic. He is preceded in death by his mother; Betty, his paternal grandparents; Guadalupe and Rose Gomez, maternal grandparents; Justiniano and Sophie Cordova. Survivors include his son; Dathion Gomez and wife Amarissa, his daughter; Clarissa Gomez, father; Alfonso Gomez, grandson; Dathion Andres Gomez, brother; Darrel Gomez and wife Angela, sister; Marka Gomez Lynch and husband Billy, mother of his chidren;Debra Romero. Also surviving are two nephews; Darrel Jr., and Derrick Gomez, niece; Mariah Lynch, his girlfriend; Janell Salazar,along with numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2008, at 7:00 PM from St. Rose of Lima Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 8, at 10:00 AM also from St. Rose Church. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Thomas Gonzales, Bobby Chavez, Fred Saiz, Billy Lynch, Tony Moncayo and Anthony Baca.
