Luisa Vigil

Luisa Vigil, age 92, passed away July 9, 2005 at the Brook Haven Nursing Home in Las Vegas. Luisa was born October 20, 1912 in Chappel, NM to the home of Gabriel and Dionicia Lucero Martinez. She married Cristino Vigil in 1952 at Anton Chico. She enjoyed crocheting and made numerous blankets and rugs. She was a member of St. Joeseph Catholic Church in Anton Chico. Luisa is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cristino Vigil, sisters; Felicia and Gregorita, brothers; Manuel and File. Survivors include her daughter Grabielita Mesta and husband Jacinto of Plaza Arriba in Anton Chico, grandchildren; Jose A. Encinias, Jr. of Tecolotitio and Maria Encinias of Albuquerque, great grandchildren Audreyana, Joshuah and Marissa all of Albuquerque, stepson, Herman Bachicha and wife Pat ; step grandchildren; Donald, Rosemary, Deborah and Lisa all of Colorado Springs, CO. Also surviving is her sister Isabel Sisneros of Portales, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friend. Rosary services will be held on Monday, July 11, at 7:00 PM from St. Joseph Church in Anton Chico. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 12, at 11:00 AM also from St. Joseph Church with Father Patrick Duffy officiating. Burial will follow at the Upper Anton Chico Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Eduardo Madero, Hubert Sisneros, Alex Sisneros, Gilbert Romero, Michael Pena and Rodrigo De Ayala. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
