Patricia Ann (Alexander) Clark, 60 of Clovis, NM died Saturday, July 9, 2005 at Laurel Ridge Care Center in Clovis, NM following an illness. Pat was born July 16, 1944 in Houston ,Texas. She was reared and attended school at Roswell, NM graduating from Roswell High School. She attended Eastern New Mexico University in Portales and graduated in 1967 with a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education. She was an educator for 22 years including schools at Grady, Floyd, Fort Sumner, Clovis, Texico, NM and Bokchito, Oklahoma. Pat was a devoted preacher’s wife and member of the Church of Christ, she was active in all church activities. She loved to read children’s books, novels and Christian fiction. She was known for her dry wit, her favorite pastime was her grandchildren. She had a love for people and children. Her admiration for children inspired her to love them deeply and challenged them to excel in every arena of life. Pat was preceded in death by her parents Dick and Maxine (Smith) Alexander. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be dearly missed by her family. Survivors include her husband Skip Clark of Clovis, NM; two daughters Lacy Mitchell and husband Darin; and Anne Parmer; a sister June Waggoner and husband Darrel, an aunt Polly Simpson, two grandchildren Taylor and Braden Parmer and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2005 from 2pm to 4pm at the Fort Sumner Church of Christ, Seventh Street and Avenue D in Fort Sumner, NM. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, July 11, 2005 from the Fort Sumner Church of Christ with Dave Dailey and Rick Hankins, officiating. Burial will follow. Pallbearers will include Kenny Wilhite, Kelly Mimms, Robert Martin, Tom Oliver, Gary Good, and Jerry Willis. Honorary bearers will include Frank Ice, Lecil Richards, R.L. Richards, Paul Dalton, Jeff Dalton, Brent Ward, Jeff Wood, Shayne Wood, Darrel Waggoner, Charlie Overton, Chuck Beach and Darin Mitchell. Memorial contributions may be made to New Mexico Christian Children’s Home 324 South Abilene Avenue, Portales, New Mexico 88130 in memory of Patricia Ann Clark.
