Nora G. Casaus, 82 a lifelong Fort Sumner, NM resident died Thursday, June 18, 2009 at her home following an illness. Nora was born May 21, 1927 in Fort Sumner to the home of Ignacio and Laiza (Hull) Gutierrez. She attended school in Fort Sumner. Nora was a homemaker and a lifelong member of St. Anthony Parish in Fort Sumner. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Juan Augustine Casaus and a sister Pola Lopez. Survivors include two sons Eddie “Sonny” Anaya and Tina Garcia of Clovis, NM; Andy and wife Irene Anaya of Fort Sumner; four daughters Esther and husband James Dunn; Susie and husband Greg Bailon; Lorene and husband Philip Delgadillo and Geraldine Griego all of Fort Sumner; one sister Jenny Navarette and husband Sabas of Odessa, TX; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren also survive along with many other relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 pm Friday, June 19, 2009 from St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner; Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 20, 2009 from the church with Father Patrick Duffy officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons Billy Joe Dunn, Randy Dunn, James Dunn, Joseph Anaya, Phillip Delgadillo, Eric Bailon, Joshua Anaya, Tanner Mack and Anthony Aragon.
