Viola Krigbaum

July 15, 1914 — February 1, 2005

Viola Krigbaum, 90 of Fort Sumner, NM died Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at Laurel Ridge Nursing Home in Clovis, NM following an illness. She was born July 15, 1914 in Lone Wolf, OK the daughter of Arther McDonald Jones and the former Ellen Millie Jane Allin. She was reared Lone Wolf and attended school at Rock Creek, OK. Viola Married Hershel William Krigabum on December 23, 1935 in Clovis, NM. She was a homemaker. Viola enjoyed tagging along to fishing holes, gardening, was an excellent seamstress and loved to travel. She and her husband traveled in a motor home around the country for over 26 years. She loved to take road trips. While residing in Fort Sumner she attended the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Hershel William Krigbaum in 1992; her parents; a daughter Ellen Luby Butler in 1984; two grandchildren Ronnie Krigbaum and Celia Krigbaum; two brothers Cliff and Perry Jones. Viola was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be dearly missed by her sons Bobby C. Krigbaum and wife Carla of Snohomish, WA; Dalton Krigbaum and wife Linda of Redding, CA; Bill Krigbaum of College Station, TX; daughter Sharon J. Miczek of Granite Falls, WA; sisters Edna Holland and Jessie Nielsen of Fort Sumner, NM; Frances Groff of Scottsdale, AZ; Bonita Wright of Moriarty, NM; and Art Jones of Clovis, NM. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 32 Great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. The family will greet friends at the visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2005 at the Chavez Funeral Home, 804 North Fifth Street; Fort Sumner, New Mexico. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2005 from Mountain View Cemetery in Moriarty, New Mexico with Rev. Wesley Holland officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jason Miczek, Uli Bergmann, Allen Krigbaum, Jeff Krigbaum, Mark Butler, and J.D. Wright. Honorary bearer will be Dusty Wright.
