Jose Enriquez Quintana, age 60, passed away March 26, 2007 at a Farmington Hospital following an illness. Jose was born May 25, 1946 in Tucumcari, NM to the home of Antonio and Mary Romero Quintana. He worked construction for many years. Jose served in the United States Army from 1966 through 1969 where he was Honorably Retired. He married Patsy Blea on January 16, 1971. They made their home in Farmington in 2002. Jose loved fishing and traveling. He was a member of the D.A.V. and the Order of the Purple Heart. Jose is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Roland Quintana and a nephew Augie Montiel. Survivors include his wife Patsy of the family home in Farmington, three daughters; Conchita Chesnut and husband Britt, Perlita Aragon and husband Antonio, Esperanza Pino and husband Joe, grandchildren; Zachary, Colton Chesnut, Julia, Antonio and Jose Aragon all of Farmington. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters; Tony Quintana of Santa Rosa, David Quintana of Tucumcari, Johnny Quintana and Raymond Quintana both of Amarillo, TX; Benjie Quintana of Los Lunas, Eloisa Latham of Tucumcari, Stella Chavez of Grants, Gina Alderete of Tucumcari, Rosie Sanchez of Tucumcari, Viola Martinez of Los Lunas and Angela Quintana of Tucumcari, along with as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Friday, March 30, at 7:00 PM from St.Anne's Catholic Church in Tucumcari. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 31, at 10:00 AM from St. Anne's Church with Father Leo Padget officiating. Burial will follow at Tucumcari Memorial Park. Seving as Pallbearers will be Britt Chesnut, Antonio Aragon, Joe Pino, Johnny Blea, Jr., Julian Blea and Phillip Latham, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
