Anthony Andrew Martinez, age 49, passed away September 8, 2003 at his residence in Santa Rosa following an illness. Anthony was born February 6, 1954 in Santa Fe, NM. He was reared and attended schools in Santa Fe. Anthony loved working side by side with his Uncle Jose "Cho Cho" Martinez pumping gas and delivering propane. He loved cruising and listening to music and was an avid San Francisco 49er fan. He was also a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Anthony is preceded in death by his parents Isauro and Valeria Martinez, his mother Viola M. Ulibarri, his uncle Jose I. "Cho Cho" Martinez, his brothers Gerald Eloy Ulibarri and Tim Ulibarri and his nephew Leroy Ulibarri, Jr. Survivors include his father Manuel Ulibarri of Santa Rosa, his uncles Horacio Martinez and wife Diana of Santa Fe, Tomas Martinez of Colorado Springs, CO and Pat Martinez and wife Renida of Albuquerque, his brothers and sisters Eileen Maestas and husband Alvin of Santa Rosa, Violet Abeyta and husband Herman of Santa Rosa, Shirley M. Sena and husband Faustin of Edgewood, Joann Gutierrez and husband Gene of Albuquerque, Matthew Ulibarri and wife Emily of Santa Rosa, Leroy Ulibarri and wife Yolanda of Albuquerque, Peter Ulibarri and wife Eileen of Bernalillo, and Thomas Ulibarri and wife Francis of Santa Rosa, his sister in law Viola E. Ulibarri of Santa Rosa along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Thursday evening at 6:00 from St. Rose Church in Santa Rosa. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM also from St. Rose Church with Father Nick Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Alvin Maestas Sr., Herman Abeyta, Tomas Martinez, Horacio Martinez, Aaron Maestas, Matthew Ulibarri, Faustin Sena and Dennis Gallegos. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Horacio Chavez, Pat Martinez, Leroy Ulibarri, Thomas Ulibarri and Peter Ulibarri.
