Amelia Sandova, age 80, passed away December 17, 2004 in Albuquerque following an illness. Ameila was born August 8, 1924 in Dilia, NM to the home of Miguel and Teodorita Chavez Sandoval. She was reared and attended schools in Dilia. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church in Dilia. She loved to sew and listen to the radio. Amelia is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Estevan Sandoval and Orlando Sandoval; two sisters Estella Perea and Corrine Lucero. Survivors include a brother Eloy Sandoval of Dilia, NM and two sisters Delia Cordova and husband Onesimo of Santa Rosa and Josephine S. Romero and husband Joe of Albuquerque. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 pm Monday, December 20, 2004 from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Gabby Velasquez leading the prayers. Funeral Mass of Christain burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Tuesday, December 21, 2004 from St. Rose of Lima Parish with Father Nick Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alex Encinias, Estevan Encinias, Stevie Lucero, Michael Sandoval, Michael Gonzales, and Martin Ortega.
