Eloisa M. Cordova, 80, a lifelong resident of Anton Chico, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at her home surrounded by her family. Eloisa was born on May 6, 1923 in Anton Chico to the late Tomas Maestas and Guadalupe Gonzalez Maestas. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Anton Chico. She is preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, her sisters Julia Gutierrez, Estella Montano and Rita M. Marquez, her brothers Juan Maestas, Roberto Maestas, Nazario Maestas, Carlos Maestas, and Jesus Maestas. Survivors include her husband Remigio Cordova, her sons, Louie Cordova and wife Joyce of Amarillo, TX, David Cordova and wife Dolores of the family home in Anton Chico, her grandchildren, Remi Cordova, Adam Cordova and Hope Cordova all of Anton Chico, Jennifer Valenzuela and husband Louie, , along with their children Meagan Cordova and Diego Valenzela all of Amarillo, TX, Andrea Jones and husband Bo along with thier children Caleb and Addison Jones of Topeka, KS. Also survivng is her brother Christain Maestas of Anton Chico, her sister in laws Liz Otero of Pueblo, CO, Ida Maestas, Melita Meastas both of Anton Chico and Aurelia Marquez and husband Isidro of Tucumcari, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Rosary services will be conducted on Thursday evening at 7:00 from St. Joseph Church in Anton Chico. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday Morning at 11:00 also from St. Joseph Church with Father Patrick Duffy officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Anton Chico. Serving as Pallbearers will be Adam Cordova, Remi Cordova, Danny Montano, Joseph Perea, Louie Valenzuela, Paul Otero and Fidel Cordova. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
