Ramona L. Patterson

Ramona L. Patterson, 76, a lifelong resident of Fort Sumner, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis. Ramona was born on March 10, 1927 to the home of Atilano Baca and the former Rafelita Trujillo. Ms. Patterson was a member of St. Anthony Church in Ft. Sumner, Ladies’ Auxiliary & The Fraternal Order of Eagles. She loved to play Bingo, crochet and drink coffee & visit with her friends. She also loved caring for her grandchildren & her family. She attended Ft. Sumner Schools and worked as a waitress for local restaurants and at the Air Base in Fort Sumner. Ms. Patterson is survived by three sons – Franklin Patterson and his wife, Myrna of Ft. Sumner, David Michael Patterson & his wife, Barbara of Clovis, and Charles O. Patterson of Albuquerque; a daughter – Zina Patterson of Fayetteville, Arkansas; three brothers – Joe Baca, Sr. of Columbus, Ohio, Philip Baca of Lubbock, Texas, Atilano “GeGe” Baca, Jr. of Clovis; two sisters – M. Alicia Vigil of Rio Rancho, NM, Helen Baca of Denver, Colorado, fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter – Rayanna Patterson, a son – James Patterson and two brothers - Nicolas & Christopher Baca . Rosary will be recited at 7 P.M. on Monday, October 20, 2003 and funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 21, 2003 at 10 A.M. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Ft. Sumner with Father Hoi Tran officiating. Pallbearers will be: Johnny Ray Patterson, Lil Franklin Patterson, Alan Dunn, Bryan Vigil, Thomas Treen & Gerald Cline.
