Juan Pablo Rael

Juan Pablo Rael, age 69, passed away September 20, 2003 at the Gerald Champion Medical Center in Alamogordo following an illness. Juan was born August 16, 1934 in Milagro, NM to the home of Federico and Elisea Lopez Rael. Juan worked construction for most of his life. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vaughn and loved going to the casinos. He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter Elizabeth Rael, his brothers Noah Rael and Freddy Rael, his sisters Zenida Chavez and Sarah Rael. Survivors include his sisters Loisa Chavez and husband Frank and Felisa Horn and husband Randy all of Alamogordo, special nieces Mary Marquez and Melissa Marquez of Albuquerque and Diana Rael of Alamogordo along with numerous nieces,nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:00 from St. Mary's Church in Vaughn. Communion services will be conducted by Deacon Arsenio Sanchez on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 also from St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Vaughn. Serving as Pallbearers will be Michael Chavez, Frank Robles, Shawn Herind, Rubel Garcia, Joe Fuentes and Randy Horn. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Chavez, Raymond Garcia, Adolph Chavez and Jimmy Marquez. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
