Jose Horacio Olguin, age 38, passed away August 18, 2003 in Santa Fe follwing an illness. Horacio was born August 13, 1965 in Las Vegas, NM to the home of Jose Horacio and Juanita Baca Olguin. He attended schools in Anton Chico and Santa Rosa High. Horacio was recently working for Victory Home Health as a Personal Care Attendant. He loved doing body work on cars, being a mechanic and carpentry. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anton Chico. He is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandmother Apolonita Olguin, his Maternal Grandmother Sergia Baca, his aunt Rosita Romero and his uncles Jose Angel Aragon and Jose Castillo. Survivors include his parents Horacio and Juanita Baca of Anton Chico, his brothers and sisters Stevan Baca and wife Dorothy, Rosa Tenorio and husband Jerry, Christina Tenorio and husband Evaristo, Camilla Hern and husband Abelino, Alberto Olguin and friend Susan Martinez, Florencio Olguin and wife Roberta, his special niece Veronica Olguin, his grandfather Edwardo Baca, uncles and aunts Narciso Olguin, Juan Olguin and wife Clara, Eutemio Garcia, Marcella Martinez and husband Cristobal, Marcelina Baca and husband Juan, Adan Garcia and wife Lucille, Faustina Encinias and husband Braulio, and Candida Pino and husband Abelino and his caretaker Anna Olguin. Also surviving are numerous aunts and uncles from Pueblo, Colorado, 26 nieces and nephews and numerous cousins and a host of friends. Rosary services will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 from St. Joseph Church in Anton Chico. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 3:00 PM also from St. Joseph Church with Father Patrick Duffy officiating. Burial will follow at Sangre De Cristo Cemetery in Upper Anton Chico. Serving as Pallbearers will be Phillip Romero, Antonio Hern, Everett Tenorio, Chris Esquibel, Pacifico Romero and Peter Padilla. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Jessica Tenorio, Yvette Hern, Veronica Olguin, Imo Baca, Albert Olguin and Florencio Olguin, Jr. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
