James Hillard Dunlap, 75 of Vaughn, NM died Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center in Roswell, NM following an illness. James was born July 16, 1932 in Savana, Oklahoma to the home of Obrey and Mary (Duckworth) Dunlap. James worked for many years as a heavy equipment diesel mechanic in the construction and logging industry. James made his home at Vaughn, NM in 1980. He enjoyed fishing and working. James was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Kenneth, Fremont, Harley, and Arley Dunlap. Survivors include his longtime partner Jennie Ulibarri of Vaughn; a son Duane Dunlap of Black Forest, Colorado; a brother Archie Dunlap of Amarillo, TX; three sisters Lucille Bunkie of Ford, Kansas; Mary Lucille Smith of NM and Rebecca of Paris, OK; a granddaughter Paige Lynn Dunlap of Philadelphia, PA. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 PM Monday, November 26, 2007 from St. Mary’s Parish Hall in Vaughn, NM. Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007 from St. Mary’s Parish Hall with father John Jasinski officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Vaughn.
