Julian Lopez, age 93, passed away June 10, 2003 at his residence in Puerto De Luna following an illness. Julian was born April 6, 1910 in El Puerto, Territory of New Mexico to the home of Andres and Casanita Saiz Lopez. He married Tiofila Ocana in 1932 in Puerto De Luna. Julian was a prominent lifetime cattle rancher and drove the school bus for the Santa Rosa Consolidated schools for over 18 years. Julian loved to work and tending to his cattle. He was a member of Nuestra Senora de Refugio Catholic Church in Puerto De Luna and a member of the San Jose Society. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Bonifacio Lopez, his sisters Tina Lopez, Rosita Padilla and Guadalupe Baca, his brothers Pablo Lopez, Tane Lopez, Porfirio Lopez, Seferino Lopez and Andres Lopez and his son in laws Max Griego and Mike Doyan. Survivors include his wife Tiofila Lopez of the family home in Puerto De Luna, his children, Andres Lopez and wife Viola of Albuquerque, Horacio Lopez and wife Sandra of Puerto De Luna, Rita Griego, Lorraine Branch and husband Dennis, Joe Lopez and wife Lydia, Dan Lopez and wife Linda, Dolores Padilla and husband Serafin, Robert Lopez, Ameila Doyon, Chris Lopez and wife Cathy all of Albuquerque, George Lopez and wife Debra of Puerto De Luna, his daughter in law Fedelina Lopez of Albuquerque, his sisters Rita Padilla of Puerto De Luna and Mary Gonzalez of Pueblo, CO. Also surviving are 31 grandchildren, 18 grandchildren, his sister in laws Tina Lopez and Veneranda Cordova and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Friday evening at 7:00 from Nuestra Senora de Refugio Church in Puerto De Luna. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:00 also from Nuestra Senora de Refugio Church with Father Stephen Schultz and Father Bill Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow at Nuestra Senora de Refugio Cemetery in Puerto De Luna. Serving as Pallbearers will be his grandson Donald Lopez, David Griego, Michael Griego, James Lopez, Steve Griego, Dennis Branch, Mario Lopez, Marcos Doyon, Daniel Lopez and Julian Lopez.
